We look forward to every visitor who is interested in the Benedictine Order in general, our Benedictine community in particular, or in the history and buildings of the monastery. You are free to walk the public paths of the monastery. However, there are certain areas of the monastery grounds, in particular those of the Clausura or cloister, which are reserved for the monks. Please respect this restriction.
Guided tours are available to groups of parishioners or any other group of people interested in religion. Please let us know at registration if you would like the tour to focus on a specific theme or aspect of faith.
Please refer to the calendar in the Events section Veranstaltungen for information on public guided tours. Tours start at 2pm and take approximately one hour. No registration is necessary. There is no charge but donations are welcome.
Meeting point: The tower at the monastery gate
Following the guided tours on Sundays and religious holidays there usually is the opportunity for you to join the monks’ Gregorian Vespers. Please check upfront if participation is indeed possible or had to be cancelled at short notice.
